First Aid Level 3 course

COURSE DESCRIPTION

First Aid Level three course is presented with the latest international evidenced based teaching DVD’s, power point presentations and interactive practical skills.

Curriculum includes; Principles of first aid and safety; Emergency Scene Management. Initial patient assessment. CPR, AED, artificial respiration & choking. (AHA accredited instructors).

The course covers:

Bleeding

Burns

Getting Help - how to access appropriate emergency services. 

Bruises, strains & sprains

Eye injuries;- foreign body, trauma

First Aid equipment

Fractures & dislocations

Head & face injuries

Heart attack

Minor Injuries;- blisters, nose bleeds, scrapes & grazes, splinters

Poisoning

Shock

Spinal injury

Stings & bites

 

Course Structure

We can accommodate 15 students for First Aid level one,  two or  three,  with a minimum of 8 students per course.  The course can be conducted on site at your organization.

Additional instructors & equipment will be utilized if there are more than 15 students on course.

4 days

STUDENT MATERIALS:

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED manual, pocket mask in hard case

​

ASSESSMENT:

Written and skills tests are required for course completion.

​

CERTIFICATION UPON COURSE COMPLETION: 

Emergency Care Education is accredited by the Department of Labour in terms of General Safety Regulation 3(4)(d) of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, 1993, to conduct First-Aid courses & to issue certificates of competency, to successful candidates with a Level 3 First Aid Certificate
